I've always wanted a vanity..

Hello everyone!

Because I failed to take a 'before' picture of this spot, this post is going to be more of a simple update rather than a proper tutorial :) What you see here is my makeshift vanity above my dresser (this mainly happened as a result of a bathroom too small to share with my sister in the mornings). It is the most recent alteration to my bedroom, and I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out!
The mirror above my dresser was a sort of DIY; I originally bought it from Ross for $15. The size and frame were exactly what I was looking for, but unfortunately, it was an unfortunate shade of light green/brown wood. Taking matters into my own hands, I painted the frame with approximately 200 coats of black acrylic paint (maybe a slight exaggeration), and finished it off with a coat of matte Mod-Podge. I then proceeded to dry the paint with my hairdryer because I am quite impatient and could not wait any longer to hang it up.

On the left end of my dresser sits my little collection of EOS lip balms which come with me everywhere I go, and my Real Techniques brushes in some jars I stole from the kitchen (hopefully no one realizes that they're missing!!).

I think they look cuter there than in the cupboard!

Have a lovely day,

- Haley
